A 42-meter yacht on fire at the Port of Golfe-Juan
A fire broke out in the night from Friday to Saturday on a 42-meter yacht in Vallauris in the Alpes-Maritimes, requiring the intervention of many firefighters in the department, said the latter stating that the fire was not yet mastered Saturday in the early afternoon. The fire broke out on the ship at around 3am in Golfe-Juan, Camille-Rayon harbor, emergency services said, confirming information from Nice-Matin.
Nearby yachts far away. The burning ship was kept at berth but the neighboring yachts were moved away to prevent the spread of the fire, said the master of the main port of Golfe-Juan, adding that floating pollution booms have been deployed as preventive. In the middle of the morning, two firefighters on board the ship were slightly injured and suffered ringing in their ears after an explosion occurred.
