In the era of petrodollars and eccentric millionaires, a prince wants to conquer the Red Devils. The man who owns a Da Vinci offers 4.5 billion euros for the club.
Mohammad bin Salman, future king of Saudi Arabia, I want to buy Manchester United, according to British media. The prince, a businessman who is also involved in the politics of his country, would spend 4.5 billion euros for the club.
According to the newspaper The Sun, Bin Salman has among its acquisitions the Salvator Mundi, a painting by Leonardo Da Vinci that was auctioned in 2017 by Christie’s in New York for more than 450 million dollars. At 33, the prince has cordial relations with Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, and is also known for having bought Château Louis XIV, considered the most expensive house in the world. L
The castle has 7,000 square meters of which 5,000 are living space. Château Louis XIV has 10 bedrooms, several swimming pools and even a pit that is surrounded by an exclusive aquarium. That same year, bin Salman also made an important payment: that of Serene, one of the most luxurious yachts on the planet. The Saudi paid 430 million euros to Russian businessman Yuri Scheffler, who had commissioned the yacht for 280 million euros four years earlier.
