Dimar investigates yacht fire in the bay of Cartagena
The Directorate General Maritime (Dimar), initiated investigation to the motorboat King Puffa, which presented a fire inside this Monday, when it was anchored in the internal bay of Cartagena.
Dimar arranged for the investigation of the causes of the conflagration to a group of inspectors of ships and pollution of the Captaincy of Port of Cartagena, regional unit of the Colombian Maritime Authority.
The fire on the King Puffa vessel, anchored in the internal bay of Cartagena at the height of the Yacht Club, was reported to the Harbor Authority of Cartagena at 9 a.m. Today, Monday, October 22, 2018.
The Captaincy of Port of Cartagena with the support of the Coast Guard of the National Navy and the Fire Department, attended immediately the emergency, being controlled effectively, throwing as main hypothesis according to the firemen, a fuel leak
The conflagration on board the boat left a crew member wounded with multiple burns on his body, who at this time is treated at a medical center in the city.
The motorboat King Puffa, of the United States flag, arrived at the port of Cartagena on September 24 from Puerto Lindo (Panama), presenting to Dimar all the documents in force for his stay in the country.
