Jakarta – Director of the Sea Guard and Monitoring Unit (KPLP) Ahmad asked the boat captain and syahbandar to pay attention to extreme weather in a number of waters in Indonesia.
“High wave conditions exist at several points and should be the concern of the captain and Syahbandar,” Ahmad said, Sunday (9/6).
Ahmad reminded the existence of high wave early warning for a certain period of time. Therefore, all officers in the field and operators must pay close attention to these warnings and keep on updating information for at least six hours.
“This warning also applies to passengers to understand if they are in unfavorable weather conditions and do not force them to leave if the weather is not friendly,” Ahmad said.
