The transformation of the shipyard, the creation of a parking at the Abbey of Aulne or the creation of a sport check, all elements that are part of the strategic plan transversal Thuin. A plan that brings together several hundred actions for the next 6 years and developed in a participatory way.

What is the purpose of the PST?

300 is the number of action sheets of the transversal strategic plan of Thuin. The city is one of the first municipalities to use this tool in 2012 as a pilot municipality. Well before the plan is made compulsory in Wallonia. Seven years later, the balance sheet is positive and the share list has doubled. This proves the interest of the transversal Strategic Plan which is comparable to a business plan.

Concrete actions

The 300 actions will be carried out in the next 6 years. The Communal Plan for Sustainable Development and the Social Cohesion Plan are part of it for greater internal cohesion.

Concrete examples include the creation of a sport check, the transformation of the shipyard, the development of the main street and park at the Hôtel de Ville, and the development of the Aulne Abbey. A transparent plan vis-à-vis the citizen that will be published on the site of the municipality.

The PST is in a way the line of conduct and projects of the municipality established in a participatory way to make Thuin a city where life is good.
