Bocelli buy yachts in Ancona – Marche
(ANSA) – PESCARA, MAY 23 – The Darwin Class 86 ‘M / Y’ North Star ‘was sold by the Cantiere delle Marche to Andrea Bocelli. This was announced by Vasco Buonpensere, co-founder and director of sales and worksite marketing, remembering that ‘North Star’ is part of a batch of three Darwin Class, entrusted exclusively to the pre owned Sales Departement of CdM, which only deals with the sale built by the shipyard of the same yacht used, ensuring full assistance to the new owner. Bocelli, who has already had other yachts of various sizes, wanted a true explorer yacht, which allowed the artist and his family to navigate to and from long distance destinations in comfort, even in severe weather conditions. The Darwin 86 ‘meets these needs: not too big or complicated to govern (a crew of four, registered under 200GT, extremely fuel efficient), but roomy enough to ensure space and comfort for passengers.
In addition to the sale of M / Y ‘North Star’, Cantiere delle Marche celebrates the victory at the Oscars of sailing, the World Superyacht Awards, organized by Boat International Media, in the category Motoryacht displacement within 299GT with ‘Mimi the Sardine’, a 110 feet of Nauta Air series, an explorer with its elegant architecture and highly efficient steel hull designed by Sergio Cutolo / Hydro Tec topped with a lightweight aluminum superstructure. “The team behind Mimi managed to make relax the focus of the project – we read in the jury -. The style of the yacht as a whole has been appreciated for the use of natural materials and raw wood that create a ‘relaxed holiday atmosphere while maintaining a sophisticated and luxurious style. This – concludes the jury – is a great yacht for the family aboard which everyone can get in their absolute ease. “
