Monte Argentario: E ‘returned yesterday in Porto Santo Stefano, where it stays in the winter, the beautiful sailing yacht H20 also won this year’s edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, after wonderful days of racing that saw present at Porto Cervo over 50 boats.

The event was brilliantly organized as always by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda with the support of title sponsor Rolex and the International Maxi Association.

The final winners of the eight classes in which the fleet was divided were: Cannonball (Mini Maxi R1), SuperNikka (Mini Maxi R2), Flow (Mini Maxi RC), H2O (Mini Maxi CR), Highland Fling XI (Maxi Racer ), Nefertiti (Maxi RC), Velsheda (Super Maxi), Lyra (Wally Class).

The Vallicelli 80 H2O YCCS partner and the YCSS Riccardo De Michele won the day in the Mini Maxi CR on Lunz Am Meer, thanks to the victory on the final day, with the owner and sailors at the helm onboard tactician Lorenzo Bodini, skipper Daniel Bresciano, Andrea Casimirri, Fuzi and Davide Viganò and Walter Santostefanesi Alessandro Galeani boat captain and Stefano Schiano – both members of the Association and the International Maritime Argentario YCSS, with the logistic support of ELLEMARINEGROUP Stefano Leonardi Cala Galera – Riva Trajan .

H2O thus wins for the 4th time in the last five years the prestigious sailing trophy and the sea of ​​Rolex at the YCCS. The crowded awards ceremony was held in the presence of Princess Zahra Aga Khan, President of the International Maxi Association Benoît de Froidmont the YCCS Commodore Riccardo Bonadeo and Sports Director Edoardo Recchi and was preceded by a military band concert of the famous Sassari Brigade. Claus Peter Offen, owner of Wally Y3K, received the perpetual trophy in memory of Commodore Gianfranco Alberini Commodore of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda from 1982 to 2007 and Secretary General of the Association of Maxi Yacht – IMA since 1981 has contributed important way to the development of Italian and international yachting.
