Ghost of Tsushima difficulty modes, life, side quests, Sucker Punch says more about the game
The State of Play we learned much about the gameplay, fighting and mechanical displacement Ghost of Tsushima. But for those who want to know more, Nate Fox and Jason Connell Sucker Punch responded to several recurring questions on the PlayStation Blog.

Nate Fox: It is possible to play the flute at any time. This is the perfect way to enjoy a quiet moment in the scenery.
How did you get the idea to use the wind to guide us? It’s original and beautiful, but it has not been easy to do.
Jason: Lucky for us, one of the first ideas of the art department was to integrate wind and sense of movement everywhere where it was possible. In the back are both historical and cinematic references. After two years of production, the game was visually impressive and we wanted to find a way to strengthen the immersion of the player in this world. Since we had followed our initial ideas and the wind was visually stunning, we tried to use it to carry the player in different locations. And it worked!
Since then, we have refined and developed the system so that you not only reach your next destination, but also to explore the map and find hidden objects.
The choice to fight like a samurai or as a ninja / ghost there are consequences? Is there a karma system based on good and evil?
Nate: There is no karma system. We tell a unique story, the epic Jin.
In terms of player choice, so do not expect decisive branches. You will however freedom to approach each battle your way and bring personalized armor, composed of various elements you have chosen. Your actions are also not limited by your armor. You may have noticed that the message “Confrontation” also appeared in the part of the Phantom. You can also use smoke bombs while wearing a samurai armor. As we have shown in State of Play, the scenario of the shipyard can proceed very differently in your approach to the situation.
Jin is from a samurai, led sword fight. As he develops other skills, he becomes the Ghost, but loses none of its capabilities in combat. History tells Jin transform into a new kind of warrior, ready to use all means to save his. Whatever way you choose to attack, frontal or stealth, the legend of the Ghost will be written.
Are there be day / night cycles and dynamic weather?
Jason: Twice yes. Weather conditions on your adventure Tsushima change dynamically. Some are linked to specific regions, to strengthen their character and atmosphere, while others correspond to key moments in history. And besides the weather, we have set up day / night cycles.
Is it possible to change the difficulty of the game for players who like a challenge? If so, is that enemies become more aggressive or are they simply more points to life?
Nate: The game features three difficulty levels: easy, normal and hard. On Hard, the game is feasible, but is very demanding. The Mongols are more aggressive and require special shots more accurately. In contrast, the EASY mode is rather intended for players who want to explore the island and follow the story not being occasionally challenged by a tough opponent.

Nate: Seeing videos State of Play, some have found that Ghost of Tsushima looked easy, which is not the case. We designed the fighting so they are fatal in one way or another, not only for enemies. The enemies of Jin can also eliminate fast enough.

Nate: We received many similar comments. You may have noticed that Jin uses two types of bows, in this demo: bow short samurai in the game, and the arc along the Phantom part. The long bow is much more powerful, and he is able to overthrow the enemies hit, as you could see in State of Play.
Are there be any villages or towns? Secondary missions? Content outside the main plot?
Nate: samurai Jin’s transformation into Ghost is the main plot of the game, however, during his journey, Jin will meet several characters who have their own history.. If you wish, you can immerse yourself in these side quests and strengthen your relationships with other people, courageously battling to save what is dear to them. Nate: Difficult or impossible to answer this question for an open world game … You can certainly expect a much longer game than our previous productions. If you are the type to be distracted by something seen in the distance, or agitation close, you’ll probably spend dozens of hours wandering through the world of Tsushima. Players who prefer to focus on the main plot will also find their account, but soon come to the conclusion of the story.
To give you an idea: most of our testers could spend an entire week on Ghost without reaching the end of the scenario. I can not give you a specific number of hours, but there is no doubt that if you are looking for an exciting story set in an open world as vast as rich with tons of things to do and see, and bunch of characters to meet, Ghost of Tsushima is the game for you.
